Marketing Product Manager
Job Summary:

Marketing Managers play a key role within our retail grocery, convenience, club, and foodservice channels. The key responsibility of this individual is to help drive volume growth with existing and new customers while delivering profitability. 
In this role, you will bring product growth strategy to life through development and execution of product offerings, pricing and promotional recommendations that drive continued sales growth and customer satisfaction.
As a member of the Marketing Management team, you are responsible for the facilitation of all activities necessary to achieve sales and profit objectives. You will work across designated product categories to:
  • Develop and manage product line business plans.
  • Make recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging, and product lifecycle.
  • Manage all aspects of the product(s) which includes planning, forecasting, inventory management, packaging, and distribution
  • Analyze weekly sales information in regards to velocity, cost, and profitability
  • Develop packaging graphics for new products, product revisions, and re-introductions
  • Prepare annual marketing plan including financial reviews and graphic presentations
  • Create and present the business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets
  • Co-ordinate new product introductions with Supply Chain, QA, R&D, Sales, etc.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Manage new product development projects and line extensions in support of company growth strategy, including pricing analysis to ensure profitability
  • Assess competitive marketplace and make recommendations on new products or programs
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of all programs to ensure targeted margins are maintained
  • Understand customer objectives, planning needs and timelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful product launch – including complete program (price, product, packaging, delivery/pick-up requirements)
  • Manage workload to ensure projects, programs and materials are delivered, on time
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of cost drivers for products and understand the underlying trends
  • Act as central point of contact for Sales inquiries related to new program development
  • Support in-program execution with third party suppliers, as needed 
Key Qualifications
  • BS required, MBA a plus
  • Background in Perishable food preferred
  • 5+ years in a similar role, preferably in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
  • Experience and track record with product development
  • Proven track record of influencing others within a matrixed organization
  • Ability to visualize design inspiration and mock up concepts
  • Ability to take initiative and drive action
  • Ability to analyze data, and to innovate ways to get it
  • Ability to solve complex problems, and to break them down into priorities
